Iyengar YOGA has taken the therapeutic value of yoga and expanded this art & science, tailoring various poses to aid and support specific conditions, most recently a broad spectrum of sporting activity. This is the second of the series in refining functional movement, and beginning to look forward to the Path to Lotus.
Lower back issues tend to go hand in hand with a few notable areas that present as problematic; short hip flexor, tightness around the hips.
In this workshop we beginning the journey to the Lotus, as the technique associated with this pose actually allows the spine to lengthen and release from the base up. Disc and vertebrae misalignment, Sacro Iliac & scoliosis - functional & postural will be addressed and as always practical solutions offered.
